The Mitolo Jester McLaren Vale Malbec 2022 is a vibrant and expressive red wine that captures the essence of its coastal origin. Sourced from vineyards in the Sellicks Hill district, near the Gulf St Vincent, this Malbec benefits from the unique terroir of the region, contributing to its distinctive character.

In the glass, it presents a deep crimson hue, offering an aromatic bouquet of sweet cherry, blackcurrant, cedarwood, and mocha. The palate is medium to full-bodied, showcasing richness and depth with flavors of sweet cherry, spiced blood plums, hints of Christmas pudding, coffee, and dry spices. These elements are perfectly balanced by succulent acidity, fine-grained chewy tannins, and a long, savory finish. 

The 2022 vintage underwent meticulous winemaking processes: the fruit was destemmed and crushed into an 8-tonne fermenter with twice-daily pump-overs to retain fruit vibrancy and ensure a soft tannin structure. Fermentation temperatures were maintained between 20–24°C. Post-fermentation, the wine was transferred to seasoned 60% French and 40% American oak hogshead barrels for 14 months, allowing it to develop complexity and depth.
