Full Product Description

Domaine Delaporte Sancerre Chavignol Blanc 2022 is a classic French white wine from Sancerre in the Loire Valley, made from Sauvignon Blanc in the famous village of Chavignol. This wine reflects the bright freshness, citrus character, and mineral precision that make Sancerre one of the most popular white wine styles in the world. The 2022 Chavignol Blanc is produced from Sauvignon Blanc grown on clay-limestone soils, with 80% of the plots facing south, and is fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats before ageing for 6 months on fine lees.

The wine shows a pale gold colour with green hints. On the nose, it is expressive and complex, with aromas of boxwood, rhubarb, blackcurrant, kiwi, citrus, lemon, grapefruit, and a light vegetal note. On the palate, it opens soft and round, then becomes bright and lively, with fresh acidity, delicate purity, chalky minerality, and a clean lingering finish.

This is a great choice for customers looking for a premium Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc that is crisp, elegant, and food-friendly. Serve it with goat cheese, oysters, prawns, grilled fish, seafood pasta, roast chicken, green salads, asparagus, vegetarian dishes, sushi, sashimi, and light Asian-style dishes.
